About Kimberly
Kimberly is a counselor, former teacher, wife, mother, and proud South Arkansan who works with individuals of all ages, children, teens, and adults, helping them navigate life’s challenges with compassion, patience, and practical support.
With a Bachelor of Science in Education from Henderson State University and a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Arkansas University, Kimberly spent 13 years as a classroom teacher before transitioning into counseling. That experience gave her a deep understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment for growth and healing.
She has specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), play therapy, and sandtray therapy for all ages. These approaches allow her to tailor sessions to the unique needs of each client, especially young children and those healing from trauma, through creative, expressive, and developmentally appropriate methods. She is also trained in perinatal mental health.
Kimberly has a special passion for working with the foster and adoptive community, where her professional expertise and personal experience come together to support families through the unique challenges and joys of fostering and adoption.
Whether supporting a child with emotional regulation, helping a teen build self-esteem, or guiding an adult through anxiety, grief, or life transitions, Kimberly offers a calm, grounded presence. Her approach is rooted in trust, empathy, and a deep commitment to helping clients find healing and hope at their own pace.
