About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Bojie holds a Master of Science in Counseling, specializing in play therapy, from John Brown University, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She is also a certified birth and postpartum doula through DONA International.
As an advocate for the mental health of new and expectant parents, Elizabeth is certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and serves as Chair of the Arkansas Board of Directors for Postpartum Support International. Additionally, she mentors within PSI’s peer mentor program. Her expertise as a birth and postpartum doula contributes to a unique skill set as she not only understands the physiological processes of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, but she blends her experience of being present at births and providing tangible support to postpartum families with her clinical skills as a therapist. Additional expertise includes supporting those who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss.
In her therapeutic sessions, Elizabeth employs person-centered, trauma-sensitive, and attachment-based approaches to help clients navigate grief, trauma, and obstructive narratives. When working with children, she utilizes child-centered, attachment, and expressive arts techniques to enhance self-esteem, interpersonal skills, and emotional processing. She is also a Theraplay Practitioner and certified in AutPlay.
She adopts a strengths-based approach, recognizing the unique contributions of all, and affirms that everyone is worthy to be seen, heard, and valued.
A lifelong learner, Elizabeth is pursuing her Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling, actively engages in community advocacy projects, and enjoys time with her family on their hobby farm.
