About Damaris
Damaris is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Associate Counselor who earned her Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Play Therapy and Adventure Therapy from John Brown University in 2024.
Damaris has experience supporting clients who are navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, and adjustment-related challenges. She places a strong emphasis on building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship and tailors her approach to meet the developmental and individual needs of each client.
Damaris values ongoing learning and professional growth, believing that the more she continues to learn, the more effectively she can support clients in meaningful and creative ways. She plans to pursue becoming a Registered Play Therapist and is committed to expanding her skills to best meet the needs of the clients she serves.
Outside of the counseling office, Damaris enjoys spending time outdoors, whether that’s hiking or walking the trails, and she enjoys photography, as these activities help her recharge and gain a fresh perspective. She also enjoys watching Disney movies and spending time with her husband and friends.
